A new report outlines that when it comes to tech jobs, five coastal cities—San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, San Diego, and Boston—gained the lion’s share of lucrative “innovation industry” jobs from 2005 to 2017. And while pessimism around tech hubs may be increasing, the jobs gap is continuing to widen, making the richest and most productive cities even more so.
