Uber’s crime report is “highly alarming,” says a criminologist
In a new report, Uber says there were more than 3,000 sexual assaults related to Uber rides last year—an average of 8 per day—and that drivers reported sexual assaults at roughly the same rate that riders did. The report also said that nine people were murdered and 58 were killed last year in crashes related to the transportation app. To combat this, Uber has been introducing new features to improve rider safety like the ability to text 911 directly from the app.

If you’re in the market for a powerful, DSLR-style camera that delivers not only sharp images but surprisingly powerful video capabilities, the Leica SL 2 is about as good as it gets. Well, that is, if you have $6,000 to spend on it.
