Amazon Prime Day is almost over, gear heads! But don’t fret, WIRED’s Gear team has been wading through the 80,000+ items on sale around the clock, searching for the best deals on products we actually like, as well as those from competitors like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Whether you’re looking to get some early holiday shopping done, or just aiming to treat yourself to some discounted knick-knack or other, we’ve got you covered. These are the best deals we’ve come across, with a little information about each item based on our experiences.
Note: We strike through items that sell out or rise in price as we update this guide. Discounts sometimes return quickly, so check for yourself. You’ll need a subscription to Amazon Prime to get most of these deals.
Updated October 15: Prime Day ends at 11:59 pm Pacific, so even if it’s past midnight on the East Coast, you still have time to snag deals. We added the LG CX-Series 4K TV, Bose SoundLink Revolve, Yamaha YAS-109 soundbar, and Fujifilm X-T3 camera and re-added some previously sold-out deals. We also crossed out some deals that have ended.

Google Pixel 4 (Unlocked) for $598 ($201 off)—A Top Pick: The Pixel 4 matches the new Pixel 5 in several areas and fares better with performance. It’s the only Pixel with face unlocking tech, and it’ll get many of the camera and software improvements Google debuted in its successor. Google discontinued the phone, so stock is limited. If you don’t need face unlock, our favorite Android phone right now is the $350 Google Pixel 4A, which isn’t on sale, but is always a good deal compared to most phones.

Motorola Moto Edge (Unlocked) for $495 ($202 off): If you need a phone with two days of battery life, this is it. It also has great performance, a good camera system, 5G support, and a headphone jack. Read our review for more details.

Motorola Moto G Stylus for $240 ($60 off): If you need something basic that won’t break the bank, this one has capable performance and decent cameras for the price. Plus, there’s a hidden stylus inside. The Moto G Power is also on sale for $200 ($50 off) and it’s perfect if you want more than two days of battery life. And if your budget is really tight, consider the Moto G Fast for $145 ($55 off). Its cameras are poor, but it’ll serve you well for almost everything else.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G (Unlocked) for $750 ($250 off): The latest Note phones are pretty great, but one knock WIRED senior associate editor Julian Chokkattu had was the price. Now that the standard Note 20 can be had for $800, it’s worth considering if you’re in the market for a phone with a stylus.

Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (Unlocked) for $750 ($250 off): Another great Samsung phone worth checking out is the Galaxy S20, which is one of the absolute best Android phones you can buy right now.

Samsung Galaxy A71 5G Phone (Unlocked) for $420 ($180 off): The A71 delivers good performance and a full day of battery life, plus a fantastic screen. The only things missing are wireless charging and water resistance, but if those aren’t deal-breakers, this is an excellent price for a 5G phone.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Phone (Unlocked) for $325 ($75 off): The A51 was too expensive at its launch price, and while you might be better off getting the Google Pixel 4A, it’s worth considering. Performance is decent, the cameras are OK, and you get three years of software updates.

Sony Xperia 1 with WH-1000XM3 Wireless Headphones for $750 ($550 off): Sony’s 2019 flagship phone isn’t as great as its 2020 one, but it’s still powerful, with a great display and a capable camera system. You get a pair of our previous top wireless headphones included too. They were recently dethroned by Sony’s successor, the WH-1000XM4, but they’re still an excellent pair of noise-canceling cans.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G for $323 ($57 off): This is a 2019 flagship phone, meaning it’s plenty powerful despite its drastically low price. You get all the bells and whistles like wireless charging, water resistance, a headphone jack, and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. The listing says it works on GSM network carriers, so you should be in the clear if you have AT&T or T-Mobile (that includes former Sprint customers). Don’t expect the 5G to work as T-Mobile shut down Sprint’s 5G infrastructure to redeploy it for its own network, but 5G is sparse anyway so you’re not missing much.

Apple Watch Series 3 for $169 ($30 off): We’ve recommended the Series 3 for three years now, and we’re not stopping any time soon. Sure, you’re not getting all the new features, but it’s still a good fitness tracker and smartwatch for iPhone owners. It regularly goes on sale, and you can also find this price at Walmart.

Fitbit Versa Lite for 70 ($89 off):Several Fitbit products are on sale. I (Adrienne) selected one of Fitbit’s other Versa smartwatches for our list of the best fitness trackers. This is the cheapest version, which is still excellent—and even more so at this price. The Fitbit Versa 2 ($128, $52 off) is also a decent pick at this price.
