The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening right now through August 6, and we’ve scanned dozens of webpages to find the very best deals on WIRED-tested gear, such as Dyson hair tools, Le Creuset cookware, and a Fellow coffee grinder. The Best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Deals
We recommend the Dyson Airwrap (8/10, WIRED Recommends) for anyone worried about heat damage since it uses hot air instead of hot metal (which is gentler on your hair and reduces the risk of burns). This multi-use hair tool comes with a range of attachments, like a round brush, 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch curling barrels, a soft smoothing brush, a firm smoothing brush, and a filter cleaning brush—all of which fit neatly into the included storage case. The sale is on the Topaz model, which is generally harder to find. You can get it for $570 ($90 off) at Amazon, but only in Fuchsia.
Like the Airwrap, it’s only on sale in the Topaz. If you don’t care about the color, it’s cheaper at Amazon for $405 ($25 off) in Iron/Fuchsia. Dyson’s Supersonic Hair Dryer (8/10, WIRED Recommends) packs the same technology as the company’s bladeless fans, with intelligent heat control that measures the temperature 40 times a second to prevent heat damage. Its speed and heat settings are located on the back of the barrel so you don’t accidentally hit them while styling your hair. It comes equipped with five magnetic styling attachments too: diffuser, flyaway attachment, styling concentrator, gentle air attachment, and a wide-tooth comb.
This received an honorable mention in our Best Hair Dryers and Diffusers guide. It comes with a round brush and interchangeable paddle-brush attachments for different hair styles and types. You also have the choice between five heat settings and three speed settings. It’s lightweight too, so you won’t feel like you’re getting an arm workout whenever you style your hair.
We haven’t tested this mirror specifically. But I (Brenda) loved doing my makeup with Simplehuman’s Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi ($300) when I tried it a few years ago. This version is more basic. It doesn’t come with Amazon Alexa integration or a companion app, but it does pack similar features like 5X magnification, the option to switch between different light settings (like natural sunlight and candlelight setting) along with touch-control brightness to manually adjust the LED lights on the mirror.
The 24-ounce Standard Mouth version of this water bottle is one of our favorite insulated options in our Best Reusable Water Bottles guide. The wide-mouth bottle is a better option if you like adding ice cubes to your water. Regardless of the size, each Hydro Flask delivers the same durability (with a powder coating that can survive the toughest of beatings) and comes in several matte color options. The Moonlight color currently on sale is exclusive to Nordstrom, but the white one is also on sale at Amazon for the same price.
We love this Dutch oven for cooking winter braises, stews, and more. It does require special care—meaning you can’t put it in the dishwasher or use metal utensils with it—but it’s a great appliance to have in the kitchen. This is also the lowest price we’ve seen. If you want the larger size, the 7.25-quart version is on sale at Amazon for $380 ($60 off).
Nordstrom is selling the Matte White version for $199, but you can get it for $169 ($86 off) from Amazon and Fellow. (The black version is $199 at Fellow.) Fellow’s Ode Brew Grinder is specifically for grinding coffee beans course enough for drip, pour-over, or French press brewing—and it works great in our testing. It’s speedy, relatively quiet while grinding, and produces a consistent grind that elevates a pour-over. It’s a great way to switch up your coffee game if you’re tired of your traditional coffee maker and have no interest in espresso.
We love Thule’s Shine Stroller (9/10, WIRED Recommends) for multiple reasons. It’s easy to fold, light enough to carry one-handed while also holding your kid, and comes with a lot of accessories and attachments to choose from. This version comes with a cup holder, so you don’t have to worry about carrying a water bottle or cup of coffee on your walks. It is, however, worth noting that it’s a little bulky when folded and tricky to fit into small trunks—which might be something to consider depending on your vehicle.
