Many voters anticipate a war with China in the near future and say they more confident in the American military than they are of their Commander-in-Chief.
That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.
The survey found that 44% of likely U.S. voters believe it’s likely that the United States will go to war against China within the next five years, including 15% who see it as “very likely.”
The same percentage, 44%, don’t think a war with China is likely, including 15% who consider it “not at all likely.”
Another 12% are not sure.
In February, 48% said war with China was likely within the next five years.
Sixty-eight percent (68%) are confident in the ability of the U.S. military to defeat America’s foreign enemies, including 40% who are “very confident.”
Twenty-seven percent (27%) aren’t confident that America’s military can defeat foreign enemies.
