Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) broke her silence on Tucker Carlson being fired from Fox News, celebrating the host’s departure by saying “good things can happen” and “de-platforming works.”
As The Daily Fetched reported on Monday, AOC called for Carlson to be banned from television for “inciting violence” just 24 hours before he was fired.
The unhinged lawmaker cited “Federal regulation, in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn’t.”
“And when you look at what Tucker Carlson and what of these other folks on Fox do, it is very, very clearly incitement of violence, very clearly incitement of violence, and that is the line that we have to be willing to contend with,” AOC said.
But AOC failed, as usual, to provide any evidence to support her claim that Carlson had “incited violence.”
The radical lawmaker later responded to the news Tucker Carlson was fired in a gloating video.
“Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News — couldn’t have happened to a better guy,” AOC sarcastically said.
“What I will say, though, is while I’m very glad that the person who is arguably responsible for the some of the, largest driving some of the most amounts of death threats and violent threats not just to my office, but to plenty of people across the country.”
“I also kind of feel like I’m like waiting for the cutscene at the end of a Marvel movie after all the credits have rolled, and then you see like the villain’s like hand, re-emerge out to grip over like the end of a building or something,” she added.
“But de-platforming works, and it is important, and there you go. Good things can happen.”

On Monday, Fox News sent shockwaves through the media world after they announced they would be parting ways with Carlson.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Fox News said in a statement. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday, April 21st,” the statement continued. “Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
Meanwhile, subscribers to Fox Nation have been dumping their subscription droves.
“I just canceled my Fox Nation subscription with the note: ‘No Tucker Carlson, no Fox Nation subscription. Goodbye.’ Who is doing the same?” Scott Morefield tweeted, igniting an avalanche of tweets vowing to do the same.
