(POLL) Voters lost trust in ‘experts’ after Covid-19 pandemic

More than three years after “15 days to slow the spread” of Covid-19, most voters have less trust in government health experts – and in the news media, too.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national poll.

The survey found that 50% of likely U.S. voters say the way the government handled the Covid-19 pandemic has caused them to have less trust in public health officials.

Conversely, 30% say the government’s pandemic response caused them to have more trust in public health officials, while 18% say it did not have much impact.

Over half of the voters, 53% said the way the news media covered the Covid-19 pandemic caused them to have less trust in the news media.

Just 23% say the pandemic coverage made them trust the media more, while 22% say the coverage did not have much impact on their trust in the news media.
