(POLL) 41% say race relations in US getting worse, schools contributing to that


A plurality of Americans say they believe race relations in the country are getting worse.

That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.

Forty-one percent (41%) now say race relations in America are getting worse. That’s down from 45% last January.

The survey finds that 24% of American Adults say they believe race relations in the nation today are “good” or “excellent,” including nine percent (9%) who rate them as “excellent.”

Thirty-five percent (35%) now give US race relations a “poor” rating.

Eighteen percent (18%) now say race relations in America are getting better – down from 20% last year – while 34% say they believe race relations are staying about the same.

Twenty-three percent (23%) say they think the way racial issues are treated by schools and universities helps to decrease racism, while 44% say schools are making racism worse.

Twenty percent (20%) say they believe schools and universities do not have much impact on racism, and another 14% say they are not sure.
