There are national holidays for everything, from margaritas to getting over it. If there’s one I can get behind, it’s Sleep Awareness Week. We spend one-third of our lives sleeping, but beyond getting into bed at night, a lot of people don’t put more effort into it. Thankfully, for Sleep Week, some of the brands that we like have discounts on items from weighted blankets to mattresses and sound machines.

Mattress Deals
If your sleep is really suffering, a new mattress might be what you need. We’ve tested dozens of bed-in-a-box mattresses. As we always say, you should never pay full price for a bed, because they’re nearly always discounted—or at least their list prices are jacked up to make a discount seem amazing. Prices here are for queen-size beds.

Still, it’s our favorite mattress if you can spend this much. The Helix is plush but still medium firm, and it should suit most sleeping positions.
Tuft and Needle’s Mint Mattress is a super-soft all-foam mattress that somehow supports and relieves pressure while letting you sink right off to la la land. If you have a twin, king, or California king bed, the Mint is typically cheaper from Nordstrom.
This is the best price for the Nectar Mattress that we’ve tracked. If you’re a side sleeper, you may like this classic memory foam bed that conforms to your body but keeps you from sinking in too much. The brand has a “Forever Warranty” too, so you can get a new bed within 10 years if you’re seeing flaws. (After 10 years, the brand “repairs” your mattress.) Everything else on the site is also 40 percent off. Sale ends March 13.
Weighted Blanket Deals
I’m not sure how I ever lived without a weighted blanket. I personally like the heaviest blankets possible, but the rule of thumb, especially if you’ve never tried one before, is a weight that is 10 percent of your body weight—so a 15-pound blanket for someone who weighs 150.

Gravity has a host of weighted blankets to choose from, and they’re all included in this buy one/get one free sale. This is a pretty big sale for a popular weighted blanket brand. The 15-pound Basics by Gravity Blanket ($80) is the brand’s budget offering that feels anything but; it quickly became a favorite of mine. The uber soft blanket ($250) comes in 15-, 20-, and 35-pound options. There’s also a Weighted Sleep Mask ($40) that WIRED writer Jaina Grey recommends. It’s just a pound, but even the pickiest sleepers among us might benefit from just how relaxed and sleepy it makes you feel.
Gravity’s robe is super soft with a 3-pound collar to help relax tense shoulders. This is a huge discount, and it’s only available in white right now, so while we can’t say for sure, it seems it may be getting discontinued or replaced with something new. Because this only has weight in the collar, you can take it out when you don’t need it and just want a regular soft robe to lounge around in. (Some weighted robes are weighted through the entire thing, like a blanket is.)
Yaasa makes my favorite weighted blanket, and it’s best for those who want something heavy and stiff but also breathable. The pretty, open-knit design helps with all of the above. The weight is distributed evening without filling, and air circulates through the knit. You can get it in 15 or 20 pounds. This is a typical sale price for this blanket.

I love Luna’s weighted blankets for adults, which is also discounted to $78 ($17 off) right now, but this brand has the most options for kids. You can get 5-, 7-, 10-, 12-, or 15-pound blankets in either twin or full sizes. The $28 price is for the 10-pounder.
Casper makes nice beds and blankets too. The weighted blanket is available in 10, 15, and 20 pounds, and I like that all three are the same price. It’s made of classic, cool cotton and is the size of a throw blanket, which is perfect for one person. (That’s my preferred sleeping size.)
Discounts are not uncommon from Hug Sleep, but a discount paired with a BOGO 50 percent off is a nice deal. The unweighted Sleep Pod provides a sense of calmness through compression in a way similar to weighted blankets. It was maybe the most surprising thing I’ve tried, because I got some of the best sleep using it, despite being extremely irritated by most things while trying to sleep. (The wrong T-shirt brushing against my skin sends me over the edge.) The downside is that the fabric pilled around my feet. There’s a footless version available for $90 ($40 off) for adults and $88 ($22 off) for kids and even a hooded version for $110.

This LectroFan is our favorite sound machine. There are others with more sound options—this one simply plays fans or a spectrum of pink, brown, and white noise—but it’s simple to operate, unobtrusive, and affordable.
If you only want fan sounds but don’t want an actual fan blowing on you all night, get this one. All you have to do is flip a switch and go to bed. Don’t be confused by the branding; Marpac and Yogasleep are the same company. This price is also available from Walmart.
The Govee Night-Light is the runner-up choice in our Best Night-Lights guide. It comes from a smart lighting brand we already like, and there’s a range of effects and sounds, plus a wireless charging base. There are phsyical control buttons, but also a companion app.
Sheet Deals
We’re testing sheets now, but these are a few of the options we like so far.

Brooklinen’s sheets are solid, made with cotton and a sateen weave. One tester said they weren’t the best they’d ever tried, but they’re soft and kept them from overheating during the night. These also don’t suffer from some of the downsides we found in other materials, like being scratchy or wrinkly.
WIRED writer Jaina Grey likes Sijo’s cooling sheets. She says they’re silky and keep you just warm enough without smothering you. You can choose to get just the fitted sheet if you want for $94 ($16 off).
We like a few sheet sets from Parachute, and the brand is having a sale with additional discounts on its last-chance items. None of the full sets we like are discounted, but some individual pieces are in limited sizes. The full-size sateen fitted sheet is discounted to $96 ($24 off), and the king top sheet is $88 ($22 off). The queen size is currently sold out. The queen-size linen fitted sheet is $119 ($21 off), and the top sheet is $102 ($18 off)
