In Wednesday night’s game against the Pacers, two fans were ejected from their courtside seats after allegedly taunting Lakers star LeBron James.

LeBron James took to the court Wednesday night fresh off a one-game suspension for elbowing Pistons’ forward Isaiah Stewart in the face. Tied after four quarters, the game went to overtime, where things got heated between James and two fans sitting courtside.

After allegedly being taunted by the couple throughout the game, James reached his breaking point and asked the ref to have the fans ejected. The ref obliged, and soon enough the pair were escorted out by security.

On the way out, one of the fans put on a fake frown and pretended to cry, an obvious jab at James, who many have called out for being overly sensitive.

Following the game, James answered questions from the press. “Nothing is uncomfortable for me,” James said, “but you know … there’s moments where it goes outside the line with obscene gestures and words that shouldn’t be tolerated in our game.”

“I would never say it to a fan, and a fan should never say it to a player,” he concluded.

Exactly what was said by the fans is unknown, however there have been reports that the taunts at one point devolved into comments about James’ family, even going so far as to wish his daughter Bronny “dies in a car wreck.”

Regardless of what caused James to ask that the fans be ejected, the hashtag #LeKaren soon started trending on Twitter, with numerous users pointing out the athlete’s tendency to get emotional and complain when things don’t go his way.
