(FORUM) Big govt. can force actions upon many

The following is commentary intended for discussion. Add your comments.

The federal government has grown very large.

Nearly every company of any meaningful size does some business with the federal government.

One consequence is that mandates and actions can be forced upon a large section of the population by the federal government simply implementing orders that must be followed by federal employees and contractors.

Those who work for the federal government or do business with it have little choice unless they are willing to give up their career, livelihood or a healthy chunk of their business.

No longer does the federal government serve the public. Instead, its goal is to survive. And to survive, it must impose its self-interests and will upon the public, rather than follow the public’s wishes and direction.

Is this how the designers of our system intended things to work?

Is this a good thing or not?
