CDC: Heart inflammation cases after Covid-19 vaccine on the rise

More than 1,200 cases of heart inflammation in young people have been reported after Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccination.

That’s according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

According to Epoch Times:

  • The bulk of the reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System dealt with myocarditis or pericarditis experienced after a second dose of a messenger RNA-based COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Of the 1,226 reports of post-vaccination heart inflammation—a jump from less than 800—827 were for myocarditis or pericarditis after dose two. Another 267 were after a first dose. The rest were reports after an unspecified dose.
  • Most of the cases were seen after the Pfizer-BioNTech shot.
  • Most patients are male.
  • Most are under age 30.

At the same time CDC and other countries are examining various vaccine side effects, CDC is recommending more people, including young people, get the Covid-19 vaccine, saying that the risks from Covid, even for young people with mild cases, can be serious.

Other scientists disagree and say young people should not take the risk of a Covid-19 vaccine when they stand a near-“zero” risk of serious side effects from Covid-19.
