Conservative commentator Dan Bongino kicked off his new radio show interviewing former President Donald Trump, who gave listeners a glimpse into his thoughts about 2024.
“Well, I’ll tell you what. We are going to make you very happy, and we’re going to do what’s right. And we’ve done a great job for the country, rebuilt our military, and had the greatest economy ever twice,” Trump said when told by Bongino that people were “dying to hear” if he’d make another bid for the White House. “You know, we rebuilt it — then the world collapsed. … Then we built it again, with the stock market was higher than it was even the first time. But we’re going to do the right thing.”
“We’re very proud of what we’ve done, and we’ll let you know at the right time, Dan, but certainly I’m looking at it very seriously,” Trump concluded.
Trump became the first guest on Bongino’s new radio show, which debuted Monday in the time slot formerly occupied by legendary conservative host Rush Limbaugh.

Bongino also asked Trump about reports that the military has encountered many more unidentified flying objects than the government previously admitted, but Trump declined to offer more insight into the story.
“I’m sort of a believer in what you see,” Trump responded. “I guess maybe I’m not such a believer, but some people are. … I don’t want to hurt their dreams or their fears.”
Trump also took time to defend his administration’s pandemic response, taking aim at Dr. Anthony Fauci in the process.

“Take a look at the fact that I closed our country to China very, very early, at the end of January,” Trump said. “Dr. Fauci … he didn’t want to close to China. He later admitted that I saved tens of thousands of lives by closing it early.”
“The other thing that we’re talking about: 2.2. The prediction was 2.2 million people in our country would die. But the big thing we did with the vaccine and also buying, you know, millions of dollars of vaccines before we really knew it worked,” Trump continued. “You wouldn’t have your shot yet. … You wouldn’t have it till September, October. And that was a big bet that a lot of people didn’t think we should make. I think it might have been the greatest bet ever made.”
