Public trust in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) declined from May 2020 to October 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s according to a recent Rand study.
Rand asked Americans about their level of trust in the CDC, the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in May 2020 and again in October 2020.
Trust in the CDC declined by about 10% during that time, while the public’s level of trust in the USPS and FEMA increased during the same period.
All demographics reported decreasing trust in the CDC:
“The Biden administration will have an uphill battle in rehabilitating trust in the CDC”, concludes the Rand study.
