Prior to the highly publicized testimony of Devon Archer this past week, 60% of likely U.S. voters said they believe the president has been part of an illegal cover-up to hide his involvement in his son Hunter’s foreign business deals, including 45% who think such a cover-up is “very likely.”
That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.
Devon Archer, who served with Hunter Biden on the board of the Ukrainian oil conglomerate Burisma between 2014 and 2016, sat down for several hours with members of the House Oversight Committee on Monday behind closed doors.
According to lawmakers in both parties, Archer testified that Hunter Biden had put his dad on the phone with people he was meeting with, which at times included business partners, at least 20 times over a decade.
Thirty-four percent (34%) said it’s not likely Biden has illegally covered up his role in his son’s foreign business, including 18% who believed it is “not at all likely.”
Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters think this is a serious scandal, including 44% who say it’s “very serious.”
Twenty-nine percent (29%) don’t believe Biden’s involvement in Hunter’s foreign business is a serious scandal, including 13% who believe it is “not at all serious.”
