America’s illegal immigration problem is getting worse, according to a majority of voters. And by a 3-to-1 margin, they say there is currently a crisis at the US southern border.
That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.
The survey finds that 57% of likely US voters say they believe illegal immigration is getting worse – up from 54% last August.
Only 12% say think the illegal immigration problem is getting better, while 29% say it’s staying about the same.
Sixty-six percent (66%) say they think the current situation with illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border is a crisis.
Twenty-two percent (22%) disagree, and 12% say they are not sure.
In January, 69% said there was an illegal immigration or “migrant” crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Eighty-two percent (82%) of Republicans say they believe the illegal immigration situation at the Mexican border is a crisis, as do 46% of Democrats and 70% of voters not affiliated with either major party.
