Half of voters disapprove of the $1.7 trillion spending bill that was recently rushed through Congress, and a majority agree that it’s a “disaster” for America.
That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.
The polling found that 76% of “likely” U.S. voters are concerned about the size of the U.S. national debt including 53% who are “very concerned.”
Only 21% of the voters polled said they are not concerned about the size of the debt.
The U.S. national debt currently stands at $31 trillion, compared to $25.5 trillion in Jan. of 2020.
Congress passed the $1.7 trillion “omnibus” spending bill on a largely party-line vote two days before Christmas.
