Washington, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) issued the following letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey calling on the platform to release all documents and communications showing censorship of political tweets at the behest of California Democrats. The letter comes as conservative influencer Rogan O’Handley’s lawsuit against former California Secretary of State and current U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) exposed collusion between Twitter and politicians in California. Full text of the letter sent to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey can be found HERE or below.

LETTER TEXT

Mr. Jack Dorsey

CEO, Twitter

1355 Market Street

Suite 900

San Francisco, CA 94103

Dear Mr. Dorsey,

Recently, Rogan O’Handley’s lawsuit against former California Secretary of State andcurrent Senator Alex Padilla has revealed collusion between the state government ofCalifornia and Twitter. It is alleged that in the months leading up to the 2020 election and in the months following it, Twitter and the California Office of Election Cybersecurity operated as an Orwellian Ministry of Truth, collaborating to censor and remove tweets from Republicans deemed by the office to be at odds with the talking points of the Democratic Party.

Along with millions of Americans, I am deeply concerned that collusion between the gatekeepers of information and the Democrat political machine threatens our election integrity and undermines our democracy. Thus, I am calling on Twitter to release all correspondence and requests they haveapproved to delete political tweets.

Sincerely,

Matt Gaetz

Member of Congress
