(NEW) Covid-19 vaccine serious side effects expand: First case of blood clot disorder after double-dose reported

The first case of a blood clot disorder with low platelets called “thrombosis with thrombocytopenia” after an RNA double-dose vaccine has been reported in the Annals of Internal Medicine. The case was that of a 65-year-old man who developed symptoms ten days after his second dose of the Moderna vaccine and died.

Had we suspected [vaccine-induced thrombosis with thrombocytopenia] earlier, we would have treated the patient differently.

Physician treating 65-year old reported Covid-19 vaccine victim

According to physicians, “The patient presented with 1 week of bilateral lower-extremity discomfort, intermittent headaches, and 2 days of dyspnea…He was found to have large, bilateral, acute pulmonary emboli with right ventricular strain and acute deep venous thromboses in both lower extremities.”

Exclusive Summary: Covid-19 Vaccine Concerns

Until now, the blood clot concerns were only reported in the U.S. in the Johnson and Johnson single-dose vaccine. A warning was added to the label in April. But the CDC’s vaccine experts did not issue an alert or warning about other vaccines. So doctors apparently did not think to make the connection that the patient’s post-vaccine illness was the same as what’s been warned about after other Covid-19 vaccines.

Also because the blood clot disorder was not previously warned about in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, doctors treated the 65-year old patient with heparin, the very drug that’s not supposed to be used in post-vaccine patients suffering from the disorder because it could actually worsen the condition.

With the report of the fatal case, all of the Covid-19 vaccines used in the U.S. have been linked to both heart problems and blood clots.

The AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, which is not used in the U.S., is also linked to blood clot disorders and has been halted in some countries.

The CDC and FDA say the Covid-19 vaccines authorized in the U.S. are all safe and effective, and the benefits outweigh the risks.
