With the new session of Congress under way, voters are feeling optimistic that things will improve, and a majority are convinced that President Joe Biden should let Congress take the lead.
That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.
The survey found that 37% of “likely” U.S. voters believe the new Congress will be better than the one that has served for the past two years.
Thirty-one percent (31%) think the new Congress will be worse, while 22% feel it will be about the same.
Ten percent (10%) are not sure.
Fifty-two percent (52%) say it would be better for the country if Biden does more of what Congress wants, while 33% think it would be better if Congress does more of what the president wants.
Another 16% are not sure.
Four years ago, when Democrats had just taken over Congress and President Donald Trump was in the White House, 48% said Trump should do what Congress wanted, while 41% believe Congress should follow Trump’s lead.
