Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) has signed his name to the “Protect American Taxpayers from Illegal Immigration Act.:
The proposal aims to prevent the Biden Administration from using taxpayer money compensate illegal border crossers who brought children.
Published reports indicate the Biden Administration is considering payouts as high as $450,000 per immigrant. President Biden is reported to be “perfectly comfortable” with cash payouts, after he initially seemed to dispute the idea that payments were being proposed, and called such reports “garbage.”
The Biden Administration will make the crisis even worse if they pay illegal immigrants who were lawfully detained hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars. These proposed settlements are unjust, unwise and will encourage more illegal immigration at the worst possible time.
This legislation will make sure taxpayer dollars are reserved for hardworking American citizens and their families.
